It is a pleasure to announce that PROMO-ARTE has the honor to invite you to the "Latin American Art and Books Exposition", dedicated to Professor KAORU KATO. Professor Kato passed away suddenly last April, and with whom Promo-Arte had a long and close friendship. Kaoru Kato was a Professor at the Kanagawa University, art critic and he was also one of the most important researchers of Latin American art in Japan. Professor Kato left behind several valuable books, one of them was “Cuban Art History” published by Promo-Arte on 2002.

Kaoru Kato

A professor at Kanagawa University.
(specialty = Central and South America, Caribbean area, American Latino art study) art commentator.
He was born in 1949.
International Christian University graduation.
Mexican RAS United States's university school art subject graduated.
Through Mexican national art Institute (IIE) researcher, he went back to own country.
From 1987 an assistant professor at Kanagawa University.
Through Institute for international management chief scientist, incumbent than 1991.

As a Hispanic art historiographer, he pushed forward the Christianity architecture art of the South America colony times, fresco motion of Mexico, a study of the art transformation after the Cold War energetically and participated in the plan produce of a various art exhibition, the art exhibition and art program production of TV.
